Horizon recently volunteered for the Food Shuttle through our Horizon Helps program. A group of Horizon-ers bagged perishable groceries and delivered them to needy families and seniors in Raleigh. The Food Shuttle has a variety of programs to help curb hunger in the Triangle. They call themselves a "non-traditional" food bank, because they focus on the recovery of perishable foods, rather than non-perishable foods that traditional food banks supply.
